Having spent the last 4 months in lockdown, the first preserved railway event of 2021 was to be the Severn Valley Railway's "Spring Steam Up", a steam gala featuring seven locomotives, held between Thursday 15/4/2021 and Sunday 18/4/2021. The gala would include the visit of GWR Churchward 2900 "Saint" Class no. 2999 "Lady of Legend" from its home at the Didcot Railway Centre. As my first visit to the railway, I was thoroughly impressed by the line and hope to return in the future.
