The impact of the COVID-19 health crisis on global economic interrelations will be long-lasting and hold significant political and social impacts. The pandemic has led countries to realise the benefits and risks of interdependence. In a rapidly changing world, both the EU and Japan must adapt to these turbulences and explore new opportunities for fruitful collaborations on health policy, climate change and cybersecurity. This Policy Dialogue covered how the EU and Japan can strengthen their relationship through connectivity strategies. More specifically, it focused on opportunities for cooperation with third countries or within regional organisations in the Indo-Pacific.
