This compilation of short stories focuses on the silly and funny interactions between ERNIE and BERT.

In part 1 of "THE PERIL'S OF PENELOPE", ERNIE is telling a story involving the character PENELOPE, with BERT cast in the role...BERT is reluctant because with ERNIE's stories, the character of PENELOPE is always finding different ways to narrowly escape wacky and dangerous situations and all BERT wants to do is relax at home with his bottlecap collection and pigeons!

In "BERT AND THE BEANSTALK" BERT plays the character of Jack encountering all the classic story elements, but to a theme focusing on the letter "B".

In "ERNIE PRESENTS THE LETTER A" ERNIE and COOKIE MONSTER explore all the fun words that begin with the letter A...but don't get too far before COOKIE MONSTER realizes that one of those things that begin with the letter A is his "Appetite".

And finally in "ERNIE and BERT PRESENT SHAPE PICTURES the duo show us all the exciting things you can make out of everyday shapes!
