I got this 1956 Admiral TV from an elderly lady whom I went to church with, she stated that this was the first TV her and her husband bought after they got married. It had sat in her attic approximately 50 years.
I sourced a photofact from a friend at a local Electronics shop, along with a few high voltage capacitors that I do not keep on hand. We worked on this TV off and on for a few weeks.
After I got the TV playing I was having issues with double images on the screen, so during our extra days off for the bad weather we went to work again on the TV. I asked a fellow TV collector out in California what could be causing my double image problem, he put us right to the spot, and here is the end result. Hooked to a DVD/VCR enjoy the beginning of Chevy Chase Vegas Vacation.
Keep an eye out for a current project..... a early Olympic round screen Color TV from the early 1960's. (still searching for some parts, and waiting on a photofact)
