Too easily can the innocent gardener get caught up in product marketing and end up spending more than they need to on equipment that may not even be necessary. One of these areas that I see a lot of confusion around is with grow blubs / lights. As a vegetable gardener in the PNW utilizing supplemental light to give my plants the best start possible is a necessity. What is less obvious is what you should actually invest in to accomplish this!
In this video I want to expand on my first grow light trial conducted last year ([ Ссылка ]). I’ve expanded the trial to compare the growth of pepper plants under 3 different commonly available bulbs with a control plant at a south facing window. I utilize these bulbs in some spare lamps to create a budget, temporary, indoor seed starting space. Which will grow best? The budget 3 or 5000k bulbs? Or the more expensive ‘full spectrum’ one? Join me as I showcase the results from the 8 week experiment.
