Welcome to Korakonissi, on the island of Zakynthos in the Ionian Islands of Greece. Here you will see a rock arch or an azure window, a wonderful viewpoint with seating and natural pools.
Korakonissisi has become an interesting place thanks to its unique natural features. It is a rock formation that resembles a small island, even though it is connected to the mainland. You can find it in the northwestern part of the island, near the village of Koiliomenos.
What makes Korakonissi unusual is the impressive natural arch and the lakes that have naturally formed in its rocks. The waters surrounding it are crystal clear and deep, with an interesting seabed that makes it a great place for snorkeling and diving. There is no beach and you can jump into the sea from the rocks.
It's ideal for exploring off the beaten path, although it still attracts a few visitors. You can get there on foot along a bumpy road.
