When you live in a rental and have to deal with small, old spaces, that don't have a lot of light... it can feel like there's no solution! I know because I've been there, particularly from living in downtown Toronto, which is home to tons of shoebox apartments. But I have learned SO MANY ways to make things better, ultimately helping me to feel better about where I live and also to actually feel good at home. So here are 9 tips to thrive in your rental apartment or house. Some are removable upgrades, some are little things that make a huge difference, and some are just about how you look at things. What I really love about these tips is that they can be employed in a rental but also apply if it's a home that you own. Enjoy!
