8 mile circular walk with a woodland wild camp two thirds of the way round with my mate Alex, near Christmas Common and Northend on the Buckinghamshire/ Oxfordshire border.
Centred on the pretty hamlet of Northend, with it's traditional duckpond bordered by brick-and-flint cottages, this scenic walk traces the wooded hills and undulating fields of the Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire border. There's a toasty pub along the way, the Fox and Hounds at Christmas Common, and plenty of natural history interest too. Look out for fallow deer along the woodland edges, while red kites and buzzards often quarter overhead.
