Did someone piss you off today? Try this... (not easy at first, but will make you significantly better)
Most of the time we automatically obsess over what they said, next time change it up...
OBSERVE, don’t Obsess. 🤔
Reactions can be like tidal waves 🌊 that rise and can’t wait to crash down. Next time, don’t ride the wave of your reactions- because it will bring you crashing down on yourself or that other person.
Instead...
Observe that feeing that comes up or stirs inside of you, don’t judge it, and remind yourself that YOU are not the feeling, you’re just the person having the feeling. More so, you’re the source of all feelings good or bad, but avoid trying to feel like you need to define yourself by a feeling... especially if it’s not empowering you. Especially if someone said something offensive to you, don’t choose to define it immediately and identify with it- at first, just observe it and let it go.
Observe that wave come up inside of you, let it come and let it go... know that the meaning of what happened will reveal itself in time through reflection and non judgement, NOT reaction.
What they said always says something about them and their current state, not yours. What defines you will always be your reflection and conscious meaning you choose to extract from any situation... always be mindful of those. This won’t be easy at first, but it’s the inner path to a better YOU. The path will never end, but the journey will keep getting more fulfilling if you stay the course.😀
