A cyclist who returned to the saddle after getting hit by a car filmed himself almost being knocked over by an NHS van on one of his first rides out in 20 years. The rider, known only as Stephen, broke a wrist when he was struck by a car in 1997 and just days after returning to the roads his helmet-mounted camera showed him coming close to being crushed. The cyclist claims the footage, filmed in Edinburgh, shows the large NHS Mercedes pull in front of him at busy junction. But some online commenters have disagreed that the near miss was entirely the van drivers fault.
