To reach Somnath, the nearest railway station is Somnath Railway Station which is just 2 km away but due to renovation work going on there, you can come here later. Its other nearest railway station is Veraval which is 7 km away from the temple.
The present Somnath temple was rebuilt in 1951 with the efforts of Sardar Vallabhai Patel.
