On social media and in cafes around the Rock, the teachers' debate has been ongoing. This follows around 400 people taking to the streets to support a pay increase claim submitted on their behalf by their union NASWUT.
From the people our reporter Katy Docker spoke to, the general consensus was that teachers do deserve a pay rise, but that their pay claim may be excessive.
Those with knowledge of the teaching profession were perhaps more inclined to speak on camera.
