Grade church is a remote church dedicated to St Grada and the Holy Cross near Cadgwith on the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall.
The church stands alone and is reached by a track leading from a minor road at the tiny hamlet of Grade.
While this church was originally from the 13th-14th century, it was heavily rebuilt between 1862 and 1863 with an organ chamber added in 1882.
The church is mainly built out of rubble stone but also includes local granite and serpentine which is a mineral the Lizard Peninsula is famous for.
Grade Church is part of the three churches which make up Grade-Ruan Parish however Grade was originally its own parish until 1934. The other churches which make up Grade-Ruan Parish are Ruan Minor and Ruan Major (now derelict). The parish of Grade-Ruan is bordered by the parishes of St Martin-In-Meneage, St Keverne, Landewednack, Mullion, Cury, and Mawgan-In-Meneage by a fraction.
Sadly, not long after this video was taken the church was declared at serious risk with serious structural problems, especially with the tower.
This church was used in an early episode of Doctor Who.
