The COVID-19 crisis has gripped the world. It's now becoming more evident that we may have to stay
at home even for months.
• If your children can't go out, it's obvious that they are going to use their digital devices for longer,
increasing the risks for addiction and other problems such as lack of sleep, poor diet, or exercise.
• There are many things you can do to manage your kids’ screen time during a lockdown:
• Understandably, screen time will rise when they'll be staying indoors the entire time. After all, your
children need some activities to manage the stress of staying at home.
• However, there is a fine line between a slight increase and overuse.
• To prevent overuse, make sure you involve your children in the process of setting limits. Enforce
these limits when appropriate.
• Monitor and track the content your children are consuming during the lockdown.
• You can use a parental monitoring app such as XNSPY to manage their screen time.
• Try to create a proper schedule for your children and engage in light-hearted family time by watching
movies or playing video games.
• Make sure they can get physical exercise indoors. Promote cleanliness at home and encourage your
children to maintain proper hygiene.
• Stay home, stay safe!
