When the moon is at its furthest and certain heavenly bodies align, a very special day occurs in the secret realm of the mermaids. These mermaids live in beautiful cove near a secluded island and on this special day, the waters recede so far you can see some of their beautiful hidden city near its shore. When this happens the elves make a special journey from west to visit with the mermaids as they’ve been good friends with the mermaids for thousands of years. When the elves visit in their ships, they often hear their songs from a distance as the mermaids will begin singing when the moon sets and the sun rises. It’s a special melody that is only sung when this happens. If you ever see the appearance of shimmering gates at the far edge of the sea, pay close attention and you may hear the echoes of the mermaid’s special song. Perhaps you’ll even see an elven ship with silvery sails shine in the early morning sun. But only those who come from the sea can hear their song, so if you do, know that you’re very special and you’re welcome to listen and visit anytime you wish.
