In October, NASA's OSIRIS-REx spacecraft collected rocks from Bennu, a 4.5-billion-year-old asteroid 200 million miles away. Instead of landing on the rocky surface,
it used a robotic arm to grab a sample. The mission was so successful
it collected more rocks than expected, causing a flap to stay open.
Scientists quickly stored the sample, which may contain water and prebiotic material, offering insights into the origins of life on Earth. The sample is expected to arrive in three years.
