After years of being imprisoned in Iran five Americans are released today and safely reunited with their families and loved ones.
Following months of negotiations between Iranian and U.S. officials, an exchange deal came to confirmation. In a prisoner swap, President Biden negotiated a six billion dollar deal in frozen Iranian oil funds. Nearly eight years later the former American hostages touched down from Tehran, stepped off the plane and were welcomed back on U.S. soil with tears, hugs and embracing the sound of freedom.
