Manipur’s Kakcheng Chabi, the endangered Chinese Pangolin, is rapidly declining due to hunting for its scales, prized for supposed medicinal benefits, and its consumption as a delicacy. Despite ongoing conservation efforts, there is a pressing need for awareness campaigns to protect this species. Communities like the Azuram Community Reserve and Dailong Biodiversity Heritage are actively working to rescue, protect, and release pangolins back into their natural habitats.

THT works in 26 states and union territories across India with 100+ partners on ground. Over the years, THT has produced over 190 films which highlight local conservation heroes, along with shining a spotlight on lesser-known species and habitats.
