Born and raised in Atlanta’s College Park neighborhood to immigrant parents from Mexico, Kap G is poised to be ATL's first Mexican-American rap star – one who has made it his mission to be a voice for the culture, overturning stereotypes with his music.
As his star rises stateside, Remezcla took Kap back to his roots: Mexico. We followed him on his first trip to Mexico City, where he had a chance to perform his music as part of Festival Marvin, see a side of his culture he rarely witnessed growing up in College Park, and reflect on his journey as an artist.
