Genshin just changed a bunch of things in the game that is going to improve the game even further, so we will discuss all of the changes in this video. What is goody gang, welcome to NingNews the ultimate news reporting channel for all things genshin, and make sure to join the genshin discord server where you can get updated on all the latest info, link in the description.
So before the live stream of a patch, the genshin developers release something called a developer discussion, which briefs over some quality of life changes they are bringing to the game in the upcoming patch. This time around, it seems they decided to greatly improve overworld gameplay along with some more changes to the artifacts to make them easier for people to use.
So beginning with some of the overworld changes, we now have cross compatibility between world level 8 and world level 9, so people in world level 8 can jump into someone’s world level 9. I honestly did not know this was not possible before since I do not really play Co-op, but this is definitely a nice feature so those who do not have world level 9 can farm bosses in a much easier way since you guarantee 3 boss materials in level 9. Especially since it is very possible to defeat bosses in world level 9 before you are AR 58 (which is what you need to unlock level 9), this makes it more efficient for those below AR 58.
So now moving on to another overworld change, bosses will respawn immediately once you claim rewards from a boss fight which is amazing. Before this, bosses needed a 2 minute cooldown before you can go and fight them again, which was then changed to where you just needed to leave the boss area and join back in order for the boss to respawn. Regardless, this was still annoying when farming, so the option to just fight the boss right away is so much better because you do not have to teleport elsewhere and come back, making gameplay more cohesive.
Now moving on to the artifacts, we can first begin with the first optimization which is a highlight feature, and this will help highlight any main stats or substats that are good for the active character. So in the example they gave we have Neuvilette who obviously benefits from HP & Crit Rate, so we can see that those substats were highlighted while the other substats weren’t. While this is not super necessary, it is a nice polish to the game and just makes looking for artifacts a little bit easier, assuming that the highlighted substats are actually good for the character.
Another feature that they added to the artifacts is the ability to view how many times each substat was upgraded when comparing two artifacts. This will help in analyzing which artifact might be better to upgrade or which will be better to use overall, and is definitely a neat feature.
Forwarding to the second optimization, this is definitely one of the cooler upgrades to the artifact section, which is basically a tab that displays the recommended artifact sets, main stats, and substats for artifacts based on usage rates by others who have the character. Along with this, we should be getting the option to sort artifacts based on which artifacts work best with the character given their main stats and sub stats along with what artifact it is. Very lastly, the artifact inventory limit has now increased to 2100, and it used to be 1800 to my knowledge.
