when it comes to budget rifles, its a difficult choice we don't want to sacrifice accuracy nor reliability for the entry level price.
one question ive always asked myself, why are savage rifles at this price so accurate , modern manufacturing has come a long way yet other companies struggle to produce consistently accurate rifles, this isn't our first savage axis 2, previously we have reviewed th savage axis 2 precision (basically same action with a heavier barrel in a chassis, and we found it to be very accurate as well here is our review on that rifle:

in this video we upgraded our basic savage axis 2 xp with a
-Boyds agility laminate stock, the ideal choice for the dual season hunter, for one its comfortable, for two its easy to adjust when you are wearing a 3" thick winter coat to those 80 degees summer days!
-In this video we chose not to use the factory rings that came with the Savage axis XP, our objective was to reduce potential variables and upgrading scope rings is a recommended upgrade to make so we went with the
-Warne Mountain tech 1" medium height rings. (the fit and finish is excellent)
