Hello and welcome to this next video which is from Leicester situated on the Midland Mainline between Market Harborough and Loughborough.
Leicester was a great station to visit on a sunny, Saturday morning. There is a good frequency of services mostly by East Midlands Trains from St Pancras International and Sheffield or Nottingham. There are also a few services run by CrossCountry to Birmingham New Street. The views and vantage points are good mostly to the north as immediately south of the station are tunnels which restrict your view. Also to the north is a small yard full of Class 56's and a few ROG Class 37's. Luckily, I saw only one freight service heading to the Port of Felixstowe. Overall, Leicester was a fantastic station to visit and I would recommend it to everyone.
Includes:
- EastMidlands Trains: Class 222's, 43's & 156's
- Crosscountry: Class 170's
- GBRF: Class 66
