This is a brief video demonstrating some hardware I built that plugs into an Automation Direct Productivity Open Series PLC to monitor the state of my garage door and turn some lights on and off whenever the door is opened or closed.
My hardware is the module on the left. It has a isolated inputs, relay outputs, an RS-485 transceiver, a four-character, 5x7 dot-matrix LED display, and a serial EEPROM with an Ethernet MAC address. This demonstration only use one input, the display, and the serial EEPROM.
