The Philippines has imposed a "no vaccination, no ride" policy in Metro Manila as it races to contain a COVID-19 surge. Infections have jumped with the spread of the Omicron variant during the Christmas and New Year holidays. Daily cases have skyrocketed to 32,000 -- mostly in the capital. The Philippines has administered more than 114 million doses as of Jan 10. The country said it remains on track to meet its target of fully vaccinating at least 90 million Filipinos by the end of the second quarter of 2022.
