Trans-Atlantic hit by English recording engineer, producer, and musician Norman “Hurricane” Smith. He had served as engineer for the Beatles’ EMI recordings thru the autumn of 1965 (“Rubber Soul”), and John Lennon had nicknamed him “Normal.” The name “Hurricane Smith” had previously appeared as the title for two different American films, released in 1941 and 1952.
