The Tyrant Beastie does something I haven't seen before: it's intentionally made heavier with thicker tubing to make it more bombproof and more street worthy. A lot of aluminum fixed gear framesets have a jittery and fragile ride quality because they try to be as light as possible for the money and sacrifice durability in the process. The Tyrant Beastie seeks to be the aluminum frameset that you can thrash around without having to worry about babying. Here's my unboxing and first impressions of the Tyrant Beastie.
