We have started using livestock tanks to water our pigs in an easy, simple way that uses a gravity feed system with very little wasted water. Our pastured pig waterer works great for us.
It might be better to switch to the 1/2" air hose because fittings are easier to find. I prefer the plastic light tan watering tanks made by Behlen Country, but you can also use the rubbermaid 50 gallon livestock tanks. Local stores tend not to have the air hose or the specific Jobe Rojo valves that I like, but they usually carry the livestock tanks.

The IBC tank adapter says that it fits a garden hose, but everyone that I have received is actually a 3/4 inch male pipe thread. I prefer the pipe thread because I do not use garden hoses. Despite the incorrect information, I prefer this adapter because it is a better one than the others I have tried.
