The Seven Rila Lakes hike is one of the most incredible hikes that either of us have ever done. We kick off our adventure going up the long chair lift to the trailhead. You can hike up this as well, but it will add an extra two hours of hiking each way, which we did not have time for. From the top of the chair lift, we set out on our hike and were immediately impressed with incredible views. These views continued throughout the hike as well and in no time at all we made it to the first of the Seven Rila Lakes. From the first marked viewpoint on the trail you can see two of the lakes, with a third becoming visible just a little further up the trail. The next lakes were a little further apart. Finally, we reached the highest point of the trail, where you can see all Seven Rila Lakes at once.
