The long-awaited Chale Wote Street Art Festival is set to kick off today, August 21st, in Accra with a harmonious blend of style, fashion, procession, and inspiring works of art all at one location.
Attendees are eagerly anticipating yet another thrilling installment of the week-long festivity, commencing with an all-white procession Monday evening. Individuals of all age ranges will participate in the “remembrance walk,” starting from the Christianborg Castle through the Osu township and selected principal streets.
There are several exciting events planned, including art exhibitions, the screening of local films, a captivating theater production called “Na Wo Se Sɛn,” a live concert featuring some of Ghana’s top musicians and variety of insightful engagements which will culminate at the Black Star Square on Sunday. Similar to previous years, organizers anticipate a significant attendance for this year’s event. As a result, they have chosen to move the festivities to Osu and the Black Star Square.
