SUS347 (347/S34700/0Cr18Ni11Nb) is a heat resistant stainless steel. It maintains good resistance to intergranular corrosion at temperatures up to 800-1500°F (427-816°C) with chromium carbide precipitation.
SUS347 is an austenitic stainless steel containing niobium. Niobium is a rare earth element that refines grain size, resists intergranular corrosion and increases strength without reducing plasticity.
SUS347 exhibits good corrosion resistance in acids, alkalis and saline liquids. It has good oxidation resistance and weldability in air up to 800°C.
Applications:
1) Petrochemicals, foodstuffs, paper making, etc;
2) Exhaust manifolds and branch pipes of aviation engines;
3) Hot gas piping for turbo compressors;
4) Parts with working temperature not exceeding 850℃ under small load;
