1. Both people fury.

2. Both people sit in same talents. Minimum all the way to open defense 2.

3. Use Trickster as your hero. ( A hero that doesn't have attack stats ) and remove all gear.

4. Person 1 puts a camp out with 1k cav t4 with leader ( Only trickster ). Person 2 hits the camp with with leader ( Only Trickster ). Then, person 2 puts a camp out and person 1 attacks to find your base line. Save the record of person 1 and 2 losses. They should be the same for both attacks.

5. Person 2 picks 1 piece of equipment that doesn't affect attack stats. Puts a purple cav defense jewel in equipment. Repeats attack pattern as stated above.

6. Person 2 removes Def jewel and puts cav atk jewel. Repeats attack pattern again. You will then find out losses from both, person 1 and 2 were the same as using a purple cav defense jewel.

7. Person 1 then puts a piece of equipment that doesn't affect troop stats in and adds a purple cav attack jewel. Person 2 removes the purple atk jewel. Adds a purple defense cav jewel. Repeats the attack pattern. You will then see it'll be same to your base line. The attack and defense bonus cancel each other out.

This means you will then find out a cav defense jewel is the same as a cav atk jewel.
