I went to the KK fish market and they were butchering a few humphead wrasse! This market is open only early in the morning.

Why is a humphead wrasse endangered?
This species is rare in the wild and is extremely vulnerable to over-exploitation because of its slow breeding rate and predictable spawning sites. The population has seen a 50% loss just in the last 30 years. The humphead wrasse is subject to population loss from the live reef fish trade, especially in Southeast Asia.
