Japanese Domestic Market (or JDM) engines are controversial - for many people the notion of low mileage used engines in clean condition originating from Japan is suspect. But in 15 years of doing engine replacements and swaps, I have found that JDM engines are of superior quality to used engines in the US market. The key is finding a reputable seller or importer who can be trusted to provide an authentic JDM engine.
