This video clearly explains nodes and its types present in 1s orbital.
The region in space around nucleus where the probability of finding an electron zero is called node.
There are two types of nodes
1. Radial node
2. Angular node
Radial Nodes
A spherical surface where probability of finding electron is zero.
n-l-1, For 1s orbital n=1 and l=0.
For 1s orbital , Radial node =0
Angular Nodes
A planar surface where probability of finding electron is zero.
For s orbital l=0
Hence For 1s orbital Angular node =0
Total nodes= Radial nodes + Angular nodes
= 0+ 0
=0
