For the day, we take a trip to Grosmont, not filmed all the way but approx 9 mins of the trip as I didn't want it just to be train rides. The locomotive being 76079.

At Grosmont, we see a variety of locomotives shunting around to Grosmont sheds or getting ready to take over from other locomotives as they swap duties. We go to Grosmont steam works where we get a very close up of locomotives arriving and departing Grosmont. We see class 20189 shunting to the sidings after operating services from Whitby to Grosmont.

For the return trip to Pickering on 16:03, we ride on behind two steam trains all the way back. The engines being 31806 and 34092. Again, I didn't film the whole journey as my camcorder battery was nearly dead. We had a brilliant day as it was busier than every but worth it.

A little tip: If your riding behind a steam train with head out of the window, be careful as there is coal bits flying all over the place. I know it sounds crazy but get some goggles or glasses to prevent coal going into your eyes.
