The Strand was a multi lane road along the Pier Head area of Liverpool and a 30 mph rd , usually ignored by drivers, the council have reduced the number of lanes and made the area more pleasant with a cycle lane on right hand side segregated and wider footways and lots of paving no grass, for some reason, at the start there appears to be level access and a feed in lane for cyclists as well as at Water st next junction down and a sweeping turn into James street.
A few sets of traffic lights have been removed as have a crossing point on James street, and a traffic laane each side removed.
High quality work by the contractors, and looks good, we will see when fully open.
