In the first of the Special Reports on the surroundings to Buenavista and the Farm, this week we vist Punta de Teno, Teno Bajo - the Teno Lighthouse, and talk about how to get to Teno by bus from Buenavista. I was accompanied by Paula Marsay and Heike Bartels on this exciting day trip adventure. Come with us on our Day Trip to Teno. Oneof the things to do around Masca and Buenavista Rural Club.

GENERAL SECTION
Restoring an abandoned stone farm house in Tenerife, off-grid, with 248,000 square metres of farm land (in a 48 hectare estate). Follow our journey as we clear the land of a thorny problem: blackberry brambles and giant weeds.
Then there's the 150 year old stone farm house which has been abandoned for over 50 years.
No electricity, no water, no sanitation and a dangerous roof. All this is about to transform into the
Buenavista Rural Club. A place where young adults can come on holiday in Tenerife and stay at the nearby hostel, whilst spending their days on the farm learning about renewable energy - solar and wind - how to find water, grow crops, look after animals, whilst participating in our reality TV show published right here on this You Tube channel once a week.

The Buenavista Rural Club is being created as one of the things to do in Tenerife for kids and young adults. Staying close by at the [ Ссылка ] Bolico Youth Hostel, set in the panoramic views of the Teno National Park by night and spending their days at the Buenavista Rural Club farm in El Palmar. With evening trips to the local towns of Los Silos, Buenavista del Norte and Garachico - to visit the local cafes and bars and meet with local young people of a similar age.
Goats, chickens, donkeys, geese, all create a genuine farm atmosphere. Crops such as corn, potatoes, market vegetables, fruit trees, avocados, figs, oranges, lemons, limes, olives, are grown from the fertile soil.
The massive farm includes many acres of forest, with footpaths and magical clearings to explore and enjoy by foot. The deep laurisilva forest (laurel) is a protected environment which gives you access to the natural landscape of Tenerife primeval history. Running across the farm is the Path of the Conquistadores - the original track used by the Spaniards when they first conquered the Island in the 1600's. The track runs from Erjos to Teno and can be walked from end to end.
Star gazing by night can be enjoyed like in few other places. The extremely low levels of light pollution means that the stars can be seen clearly, and the farm goes up above the clouds, so you get uninterrupted views of the heavens.
Monte de las Aguas means the mountain of the waters. The weather in this part of the island can be very hot during the day and cold at night. Like all of Tenerife, the area enjoys a micro climate that can change rapidly from dry to wet and from hot to cold. Being prepared for such conditions is important but we are also on hand to keep our visitors safe and advise them of the need to be prepared for all outcomes.
