Recovery operations were underway on Wednesday after a passenger plane skidded off the runway at Istanbul's Sabiha Gokcen Airport, crashing into a road and breaking into pieces.
Twenty-one people were injured — with no reported deaths. Istanbul Governor Ali Yerlikaya said the plane, a Boeing 737, was carrying 171 passengers and six crew members from Turkey’s western province of Izmir.
