As The Guardian and The Ghost reach the vault that contains the Veil, The Guardian realizes that the Shadow Legion had managed to reach there first. Suddenly, The Ghost gets possessed by The Witness, and The Guardian watches The Witness commanding Emperor Calus to set up the Radial Mast, a Darkness artifact that will create an uplink between the Veil and the Traveler and allow the Witness to create what it calls the "Final Shape".
