The build up to next year's Champions Trophy has begun. Teams are back playing ODIs and today we have the two Asian teams - Afghanistan and Bangladesh - taking on each other. It is a 3-match series with Sharjah one of Afghanistan's adopted home venues hosting the games. Bangladesh are playing their first ODI since March of this year. They're coming into this series having lost the home Tests to South Africa and with plenty of off-field issues.
Shanto has given up his Test and T20 captaincy but continues to lead the ODI side. There's also the issue of Nasum Ahmed and Nahid Rana not receiving their UAE visa in time and being unavailable for the first game.
