I know the 5th character it is confusing in the video, and in real life, so here are the motor options for 1979 Firebirds in 1979 there were 7 engines offered as far as I can tell.
A for LD5 3.8 L (231 Cubic inch) Buick V6 105 horsepower
G for LG3 5.0 L (305 Cubic inch) Chevrolet V8 135 or 150 horsepower
L for LM1 5.7 L (350 Cubic inch) Chevrolet V8 170 horsepower
K for L80 6.6 L (403 Cubic inch) Oldsmobile V8 185 horsepower
Y for L27 4.9 L (301 Cubic inch) Pontiac V8 135 horsepower
W for L37 4.9 L (301 Cubic inch) Pontiac V8 150 or 170 horsepower
Z for W72 6.6 L (400 Cubic inch) Pontiac V8 220 horsepower
