CAPTION: The public got its first glimpse at the face of King Tut on Sunday. This comes 85 years after the 3,000-year-old boy pharaoh's mummy was discovered in the famed Valley of the Kings. (Nov. 4)

The mummy of ancient Egypt's my famous pharaoh, King Tut, was put on public display for the first time Sunday. Experts carefully removed the fragile mummy from its stone sarcophagus and placed it in an climate-controlled glass box in King Tut's underground tomb in the famed Valley of the Kings.

STAND UP Tourists will come here to King Tut's tomb to see the ancient mummy. His body is wrapped with linen, but you can see his small feet and leather-like face that many think looks like he is smiling.
But not every tourists is happy that King Tut's mummy is being put on display.

Local antiquities experts say the number of tourists will double in the Valley of the Kings now that the mummy is on display. And Hawass believes tourists will an unforgettable experience when they see the mummy of the boy king.
