New Delhi, Apr 07 (ANI): Renowned Bollywood director Shoojit Sircar, whose production ‘Pink’ was named the Best Film on Social Issues at the 64th National Film Awards, said that he will not celebrate the success of this award in a usual manner and will take ‘Pink’ to a larger audience. He said, "I would like to humbly thank my entire team for this huge honour. PINK would not have been possible without Mr. Amitabh Bachchan and his support and I would like to also thank my friend and Producer Ronnie Lahiri, Director Aniruddha, my writer Ritesh Shah, my lovely cast and crew for coming together with me." He added, "I would also like to thank the National Award jury for bestowing one of the most respectable laurels on us and I feel more responsible now to persevere ahead with the film and its cause. I will not celebrate this Award in the usual manner but will dedicate to taking PINK to larger audiences." Pink was a courtroom drama and starred Amitabh Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, Angad Bedi, Andrea Tariang and Piyush Mishra in the lead roles. This is Sircar’s fourth consecutive National Award, after Vicky Donor (2012), Madras Cafe (2013) and Piku (2015).
