Well managed to capture without a doubt, a favorite among many enthusiasts.
37099 (37324) was re-instated back to mainline use during mid 2016. It was initially in BR Blue and of course, drew many enthusiasts to go see it whilst it was still in Blue. A few weeks and a few trains later, it was repainted into Colas's main livery. It then got named a few days before this video was taken. It was named 'Merl Evans 1947 – 2016', in honor of Merl Evans, who was Bachmann's former Head of Research. He passed away 16th August, may he rest in peace.
Back to the video. Once it went over to Barrow Hill for more attention, it was pathed to move back to Derby RTC. The path was 0M56, Barrow Hill LIP to Derby R.T.C. (Network Rail). This was expected be 37099, but a very nice surprise when 37254 in Intercity livery tagged along too. These are seen passing through Derby Station on their final part of the their journey.
Once the night came, 37099 was allocated to work a test train. 3Q85 from Derby R.T.C. (Network Rail) to Crewe C.S. (L&Nwr Site). They are seen passing through Stoke-on-Trent, making a fantastic noise in the process.
