Part 1 of our first look video of Spirit Of Steam. Samuel Beamon sets his eyes on the latest DLC for Train Sim World 2 for the first time which introduces Steam Locomotives to the Unreal 4 Engine and it is something Train Simmers have wanted to see for a very long time. This is quite a big thing in history for Train Simulation and we cannot deny that and the locomotive models look amazing in game and the visuals are absolutely superb. Only things that let it down is the lack of weathering in the cab, mediocre steam effects, automatic fireman bugs making the firebox door open and close randomly for no reason and the lack of a good simulated steam chest. The route itself isn't perfect either and frame rates can be seen as very poor especially on a high spec two thousand pounds worth of computer. This is part one of the review part two shall reveal Samuel's overall opinions of the DLC and what he likes and dislikes about it.
