Finding Bark, Finishing the Sheathing and Making the Thwarts
Peter finally finds bark, that he thinks/hopes is useable. Using the tools and techniques of the 1700's, he finishes making the sheathing for his birch bark canoe and fashions the first thwart. He also discusses a wee bit of history about the fur trade and the way birch bark canoes were stored, tradionally.
