A Turen City Historical-Based Folklore: Turryan Inscription
Watu Godeg is an inscription inscribed with ancient Javanese script and in Sanskrit. At that time, based on this inscription, in the archipelago, especially in East Java, only Turyyan, it is known as Turen now, had rice fields and markets as a trading center for the local community. In short, it can be interpreted that the Turyyan at that time had an advanced civilization. The Watu Godeg inscription religious function, formerly as a place to perform certain rituals. The first ritual is Nyepi and any rituals getting closer to Him. Further, there is a Nyepi ritual and gives supernatural powers to heirlooms such as a keris which is carried out by individuals.
