(10 Mar 1977) Romania's President Nicolae Ceausecu says that Romania will over come the damage caused by the recent earthquake and that it will fulfill its economic goals through the sacrifices of its people. At the same time he appealed to the world to grant loans and credits to romania under favourable terms to help defray costs.
