The livestock sector is a source of livelihood for many farmers. It is also an important part of Jamaica’s food security. As the government seek ways to expand the production and productivity of the livestock sector and improve the life of livestock farmers, Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, Audley Shaw, launched a National Livestock Genetic Improvement Programme.
