Cuprionol Anti-Slip Decking Stain combines the convenience of an all in one decking stain and treatment with the added benefit of anti-slip properties. Highly durable and weather resistant, this opaque, anti-slip decking stain is available in a range of attractive, paint like colours. It is ideal for all bare-wood domestic garden decks and commercial decking such as pubs, shops, community halls and more.
The unique formula contains anti-slip microbeads that produce increased friction between feet and decking to make decked areas safer. Cuprinol Anti Slip Decking Stain is suitable for all softwood and hardwood decking and includes algicide to protect treated areas against green algae and mould growth.

- How do I make decking non slip?
- How do you apply decking stain?
Please note: Decking to be treated must be completely dry. This means that decking boards must have been stored in a warm, dry environment for several weeks with spacers to allow airflow between the boards. For decking already laid and in situ, it is recommended that the boards are first treated with a mould and mildew cleaner and then left to dry for a period of a week in warm, dry conditions to allow any moisture in the wood to evaporate. Applying this product to wood that is not adequately dry or where mould or algae spores are present in the timber may result in the stain prematurely failing and coming away from the wood. The recommended time for applying this product is in the warmer spring and summer months.
Cuprinol recommend that new decking boards are preserved and stained on all sides, edges and especially so on the cut ends before installation. This gives decking boards the best possible protection.
